Practical steps: ask the clinic for the dentist's full name and licence number, then search the DHA Sheryan register. Check three things: that the licence is active, that the listed specialty fits the treatment you are having, and that the facility it is registered to is the clinic where you will be treated. Note that only Dubai falls under the DHA. Clinics in Abu Dhabi are licensed by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, and some other emirates by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, each with its own register. If you are told a dentist is "visiting" or "from abroad", ask about their licence in the emirate where you will be treated.
