The best-known criticism of Hollywood smiles is that they look too white or identical on everyone. The usual causes are one template applied to every face, a shade that ignores skin tone and age, and opaque edges with no translucency.
Dr. Khalid tackles this in three ways: teeth are designed on photos of your face, not a stock template; the shade is chosen for your complexion and age; and edges keep a natural translucency. The goal is a smile that looks good in everyday light and conversation, not only in photos.
Your smile width decides, not a fixed number. Some people show eight upper teeth when they smile, others ten or more. Leaving visible side teeth uncovered can create an obvious colour step between front and back.
Lower teeth are included when they show while you talk or are noticeably darker than the uppers. That is why Creative Arts publishes two starting prices, for 10 upper veneers and for 20 across both arches; the mock-up makes the final call.

Design starts with facial and smile photos plus a short video of you talking. From these he sets the smile line, meaning how the tooth edges follow your lower lip, the length of the two central incisors, the width-to-length ratio and the balance between left and right.

Sometimes. If your gum line is uneven or shows a lot when you smile, gum contouring may be suggested before the veneers so the teeth appear in even proportion. This part of the plan is decided after examination.
Root-treated teeth or teeth with large fillings may need full crowns rather than veneers because they are weaker. Decay and gum inflammation are always treated first. These steps can lengthen the plan, but they protect the result for years to come.

What moves the price: the number of teeth, the material, crowns instead of veneers on some teeth, and any gum or decay treatment beforehand. Ask for each item to be itemised so you can compare quotes fairly.
Veneers on a few teeth fix a specific problem, such as a chipped tooth or a gap between the front two. A Hollywood smile changes colour, shape and symmetry together across every visible tooth, so it is broader and needs more precise design.

It usually takes several visits: examination, design and mock-up; preparation with temporary veneers; try-in and bonding of the final veneers; and a review. Because the lab is in the same building, shade or shape adjustments after try-in do not cause long delays.
Gum treatment, crowns or gum contouring can extend the timeline. Dr. Khalid writes the expected number of visits into your plan, which matters especially if you are travelling to Dubai.
Yes. It is one of the most requested treatments at his main clinic, Celebrity Smile Center in Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where he also uses the Waterlase water laser for gum contouring. The veneers are designed with him, made in the same Dubai lab and fitted in Duhok.

Not necessarily. The shade is chosen with you to suit your skin tone, age and preference, and you see it in the mock-up before any preparation. Dr. Khalid favours a natural shade with translucent edges so teeth do not look flat or artificial, but you can ask for a brighter shade once he has explained how it changes the look.
In most cases each tooth needs light enamel preparation so the veneers sit evenly without looking bulky, and that preparation is usually irreversible. The mock-up defines the minimum needed. In selected cases, such as small teeth or gaps, some teeth may need very little or no preparation.
Ceramic veneers often last 10 years or more with good care, though this varies. Healthy gums, daily cleaning, regular check-ups and a night guard if you grind your teeth all help a Hollywood smile last longer. An individual veneer may need repair or replacement over time.
Yes, and that is common when the lower teeth barely show while smiling and talking. If your lower teeth are much darker, though, the contrast may become noticeable once the uppers are brighter. Dr. Khalid will then discuss whitening or veneers for the lower teeth, decided after the mock-up.
Yes, at two points. First at the mock-up stage before preparation, where you can change length, shape or shade. Second at the try-in of the final veneers before bonding, when shade or shape tweaks can be requested from the lab in the same building. After bonding, changes are much harder.
Veneers alone cannot replace a missing tooth. If teeth are missing in the smile zone, implants or a bridge may be added to the plan and designed together with the veneers so colour and shape match.
